Foraging events

As well as running public foraging walks, I am also available to book to run a walk or workshop for your organisation, on your site, or for a specific event. You organise who’s coming and where it’s happening, and I organise what we’ll be looking at and what tasters we’ll be having afterwards!

Past experiences have included running walks as part of Friends of the Lake District’s Hedges and Edges programme, collaborating with The Tree Council’s Young Tree Ambassadors programme, running a local foraging walk for Penrith Action for Community Transition members, and running reflective walks for groups like the Kairos Movement in North Yorkshire and Woodland Collective in Cumbria. These walks are usually a similar format to my public courses, including a foraging identification walk followed by a wild food picnic or taster session, on a site determined by the event organiser, and can be tailored to your group and your specific areas of interest.

Ideal for conservation charities organising activities for their members, community groups wanting to develop a connection to their local landscape, visitor attractions looking for new ways to use their site, schools, youth clubs and scouting groups looking to increase their young people’s interest in nature, and many more. I will work closely with you to create an event, walk or workshop that perfectly suits your needs.

If you’re interested in something more food and baking themed, I can offer that as well. I can also run private foraging walks for individual groups.
